We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused exclusively on water and wastewater projects. This role will support the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment projects
- Perform data analysis, system modeling, process calculations, and hydraulic calculations
- Assist with sizing and selecting facilities and equipment
- Prepare cost estimates, technical memoranda, reports, plans, specifications, and other project deliverables
- Assist with permitting and alternatives analysis
- Provide engineering services during construction, including reviewing contractor submittals and evaluating requests for information
- Participate in site visits, field activities, and pilot testing
- Take on increasing responsibility for project schedules, budgets, quality, and technical delivery as experience grows
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers as appropriate
- Communicate with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders
- Assist with proposals, scopes, fee preparation, and business development activities
- Coordinate project work with engineers, designers, modelers, technicians, and other team members
- Travel to project sites may be required
Qualifications
- EIT certification, FE exam completion, or PE license depending on experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering field
- Experience with water and/or wastewater treatment projects
- Experience with planning, design, construction, or commissioning of water/wastewater facilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage project responsibilities while meeting budget and schedule requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of assignments
