Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of large-scale data center, mission-critical, and high-performance computing facilities. This is a senior technical position for an experienced electrical engineer who can serve as a subject matter expert, lead complex electrical design efforts, and work closely with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams from early design through commissioning and start-up. The position can be hybrid or fully remote, with travel required based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an Electrical Subject Matter Expert for data center and mission-critical projects.
• Lead electrical engineering and design efforts for medium to large, technically complex projects.
• Develop and review electrical power distribution, backup power, and related critical infrastructure systems.
• Make independent engineering decisions and develop solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Prepare engineering studies, calculations, technical specifications, and design documentation.
• Perform technical reviews and design assurance to maintain quality and code compliance.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architectural, mechanical, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Work closely with project and program managers to support project schedules, deliverables, and technical requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support projects from initial scope development and design through construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Maintain discipline-specific quality standards and provide technical recommendations when issues arise.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
• Travel to project and client locations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with the ability to obtain registration in additional states.
• 12+ years of electrical engineering and facilities design experience.
• Data center facilities design experience required.
• Experience with DC power distribution systems at 400VDC, 800VDC, or 1500VDC required.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and backup power systems.
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards, including NEC and IEC requirements.
• Experience working in Revit.
• Experience leading technically complex electrical projects.
• Strong client-facing, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing engineering staff.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel as required.
