The Senior Structural Engineer’s responsibilities will include performing and managing simple and complex analyses, design, and documentation of various structures with. Senior Engineer will conduct field investigation and construction phase observations, as required. The Senior Engineer will also mentor subordinate staff and assist with business development activities.

Functions & Responsibilities
· Perform design and analysis functions for various building structures.
· Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing structures.
· Attend meetings with clients, jurisdictional agencies, other professionals and organizations.
· Supervise others including but not limited to administrative, technical and professional staff.
· Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule and project constraints.
· Issue reports, schedules, estimates of probable costs, responses to SOIs, RFPs.
· Review designs prepared by others.
· Bachelor’s degree in civil (Structural or Geotechnical) Engineering
· Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience
· Valid state Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in NJ, PA, NY or DE. Additional state licensure a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Possesses advanced knowledge of various design and documentation software.
· Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory and permitting requirements as it applies to structural design and analysis.
· Proficiency with design and analysis using various materials including but not limited to steel, stainless steel, aluminum & cast-iron, cast-in-place, precast, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete, timber.
· Familiarity with design and analysis using various materials including but not limited to composites, epoxies/resins/polymers, FRP, HDPE.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
· Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate with others to explore alternative solutions.
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills including the ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, complex reports and to orally communicate technical information to others.
