We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical construction projects from start to finish. This role will be responsible for keeping projects on schedule and profitable while maintaining strong relationships with customers, general contractors, field teams, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, schedules, costs, billing, and overall performance.
- Review contracts, estimates, plans, and project scope before and throughout construction.
- Work with field teams to address project questions, RFIs, changes, and potential issues.
- Identify, document, and submit change orders while making sure all applicable work is captured.
- Monitor labor, materials, subcontractors, and job costs to keep projects on track financially.
- Complete monthly cost-to-complete reviews and project reporting.
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Communicate project schedule or budget changes and help resolve issues as they come up.
- Lead, coach, and support Project Engineers and other members of the project team.
- Help identify training needs and provide guidance when problems arise.
- Review material quantities, subcontractor quotes, billing, and project documentation.
- Assist with value engineering, design changes, and code compliance.
- Make safety a priority and address safety concerns when working with field teams.
- Help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the customer's expectations.
What We're Looking For
- Commercial electrical construction experience.
- 2+ years of Project Engineer experience with a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or 4+ years of Project Engineer experience with a background progressing through the electrical trade.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, job costs, and change orders.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with field teams, customers, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
