Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a consulting firm that works on a wide range of commercial, institutional, healthcare, residential, and public sector projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through construction while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical design of building systems from initial planning through construction documents.
• Develop project specifications and technical documentation.
• Meet with clients to define project goals, requirements, and design solutions.
• Perform site visits to evaluate existing conditions and gather field information.
• Prepare engineering reports and supporting documentation as needed.
• Support projects through schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, and construction administration.
• Produce accurate drawings, calculations, and project documentation.
• Navigate local permitting and utility coordination requirements.
• Work closely with architects and other engineering disciplines to deliver coordinated designs.
• Use AutoCAD for design and drafting, with Revit experience considered a strong advantage.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license not required, but is strongly preferred.
• Experience designing electrical systems for buildings within an MEP consulting environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical design standards, codes, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with local permitting processes and utility coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Revit experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
