Construction Supervisor/Superintendent

The Project Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the execution of capital renovation projects for various state and city agencies.
 
Qualifications and responsibilities for this role are:

• Serve as the primary on-site representative for client, in-house tradespeople and subcontractors.
• Supervise and coordinate in-house union trades and subcontractors on site.
• Conduct regular progress meetings with field teams.
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify work quality and compliance.
• Maintain daily logbooks documenting site conditions, completed work, and any issues encountered.
• Prepare daily progress reports, including photographic evidence.
• Maintain adherence to project schedules and budgets, exercising independent judgment in decision-making regarding resource allocation and scheduling.
• Develop, implement, and manage site logistics plans.
• Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, NYC DOB requirements, and agency guidelines.
• Prepare two-week look-ahead schedules.
• Document and report potential delays.
• Order necessary materials and tools for in-house work.
• Coordinate with project management for guidance on project-related issues as needed.
• Conduct safety and toolbox training sessions and enforce safety practices for the on-site team.
