The Project Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the execution of capital renovation projects for various state and city agencies.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this role are:
- Serve as the primary on-site representative for client, in-house tradespeople and subcontractors.
- Supervise and coordinate in-house union trades and subcontractors on site.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with field teams.
- Conduct daily site inspections to verify work quality and compliance.
- Maintain daily logbooks documenting site conditions, completed work, and any issues encountered.
- Prepare daily progress reports, including photographic evidence.
- Maintain adherence to project schedules and budgets, exercising independent judgment in decision-making regarding resource allocation and scheduling.
- Develop, implement, and manage site logistics plans.
- Read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, NYC DOB requirements, and agency guidelines.
- Prepare two-week look-ahead schedules.
- Document and report potential delays.
- Order necessary materials and tools for in-house work.
- Coordinate with project management for guidance on project-related issues as needed.
- Conduct safety and toolbox training sessions and enforce safety practices for the on-site team.
