Position: Commercial Glazing Sales Estimator

What You'll Do - Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, glazing subcontractors, architects, and property owners.
- Review project specifications and design requirements, recommending optimal glazing solutions that balance cost, performance, and material availability.
- Coordinate with design teams and decision-makers to confirm technical details and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Proactively pursue bid opportunities by engaging project stakeholders and presenting competitive proposals.
- Independently prepare accurate cost estimates using internal quoting tools and resources.
- Negotiate pricing to meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets.
- Submit Requests for Approval or substitution proposals to secure product specifications.
- Support manufacturer representatives by providing project leads, technical insights, and sales tools.
- Manage project pipelines from lead through order, tracking revisions, approvals, and scheduling.
- Accurately process purchase orders and hand off to project management.
- Maintain organized records of bids, quotes, and sales activity.
- Participate in regular sales team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Assist in shaping both short- and long-term business strategies.
What We're Looking For - Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural plans, and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and glazing products — including windows, doors, unitized systems, specialty glass, and impact-resistant systems.
- Proven success in sales estimating within commercial glazing or related industries.
- Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Experience with CRM platforms and construction project lead tools.
- Mechanical aptitude to understand and present technical solutions.
- Professional, persuasive communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the resilience to perform under pressure.
- Associate degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
