Assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information, preparing accurate estimates and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors and sub contractors
Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant jobsite locations
Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specifications
Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs
Gather bids and negotiate with service providers to secure the best possible prices
Create and submit estimates
Review junior estimators bids and takeoffs for accuracy
Budget and forecast using appropriate software
Generate take offs for sheetmetal, piping, insulation and controls
Generate RFIs and proposals
Create change orders
Project cost tracking for all projects
Negotiate contracts with clients on new projects
Level all vendors and subcontractors to ensure correct scope and negotiate pricing
Generate contracts and purchase orders for all subs and vendors for all projects
