Position Overview The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to support all phases of interior construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in carpentry trades who is looking to grow into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities - Assist in day-to-day project coordination, documentation, and subcontractor management
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project schedules
- Attend jobsite meetings and coordinate with field personnel and subcontractors
- Help manage materials procurement, deliveries, and inventory
- Work with the estimating team on take-offs and bid packages as needed
- Ensure compliance with project specs, drawings, and safety standards
- Support closeout process, including punch lists and documentation
Requirements - 2–5 years of construction experience, ideally with a carpentry subcontractor
- Strong knowledge of drywall, millwork, metal stud framing, and/or acoustical ceiling systems
- Ability to read construction drawings and specs
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Buildertrend, or similar platforms is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required
